General Summary:                                                                                                        

Maintains the functionality and operation of business networks, servers, connecting devices and phone systems for day-to-day business operations of Adams’ clients.  Responsible for keeping all the business software licenses current and getting all software upgrades or maintenance done with minimal downtime for business operations. Provides recommendations to the business sales department for new equipment and software from Adams’ service offerings that can improve or assist in better business functions.  Provides MSP services and break/fix services for clients which includes support and recommendations for upgrades to current system. 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Responsible for maintaining the business networks, servers, VOIP phones, backups, and connecting devices of Adams’ clients by planning, installing, configuring, repairing and troubleshooting. 

  • Provide day-to-day support for business clients. 

  • Implement procedures for accomplishing installations and maintenance of client’s equipment, according to best practices and approved processes. 

  • Work with business sales and dispatching team to complete job tickets to accomplish projects according to customer specifications. 

  • Ability to use basic home and construction tools to accomplish installations and mounting of equipment, wiring, and wiring management, in both indoor and outdoor locations.  This may include ladders and scissor-lifts, for which safety training will be provided and required. 

  • Responsible for software installations, email account maintenance and data migrations. 

  • Assists with installation and maintenance of VoIP phone systems. 

  • Willing and able to obtain industry certifications integral to technician job functions. 

  • Willing and able to be assigned to an On Call rotation and to provide 24-hour support to MSP clients during that timeframe. 

  • Required to hold a valid driver’s license. 

  • Technician will meet expectations of management, as set forth in policies, procedures and written expectations provided to employee by management. 

  • Job requires employee to raise or lower objects a minimum of 60 lbs from one level to another regularly during the shift. 

  • Job regularly requires employee to reach, grasp or pick up objects. 

  • Job requires the ability to distinguish colors. 

  • Job requires employee to climb ladders, work in overhead areas or confined spaces. 

  • During a normal work shift the employee could do one or more of the following - walk, stand, climb, stoop or crouch, or crawl or move about on hands and knees. 

  • During a normal work shift employee works between indoor and outdoor weather conditions. 

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent plus three years related experience.

 

Salary Range:  $45,000 - $70,000
